MANUFACTURERS ECONOMISING (Received 9.54 p.m., Nov. 11.) LONDON, Nov. 11. Tlie New Y 7 ork correspondent of the Times states that while there is momentary calm .in New York and the [Currency troubles are relieved by the influx of gold, industrial centres are not similarly eased. In many places outside the largest cities clearing house cheques are freely used as paper money, and manufacturers unable to get bills renewed are practising rigid economies by dismissing employees and cancelling orders for work.

Leading New York bankers profess themselves satisfied with the financial outlook, but the restoration of tho equilibrium of industrial centres is slow. •
