ENTERTAINMENTS.
O’NEILL’S BUCK JUMPERS,
There was a crowded attendance last night to witness the performance given by O’Neill’s Buckj-ump-ers. A lady rider, Aliss Burton, arrived yesterday, but was unable to ride, her place being taken by Aliss Alai stead, who gave a good exhibition. The high-jumping mare Ruby was in good form, and topped 6ft 2in. Air. Sidney O’Neill, who joined the company yesterday, created a sensation with his back to front riding act, and Jimmy Kruse, champion bov rider, also gained applause for his good work. The buckjumper Alaori Jack provided a good deal of entertainment. An offer was made for the payment of £lO to any person who could sit the buckjumper lor 10 seconds, but though several attempts were made the money wis not claimed. Air. Sidney O’Neill then mounted Alaori Jack and rode him to a standstill, gaining great applause for so doing. Sandow, the ■trick pony, went through a clever act. which evidenced very careful training. Among the large audience were a great many ladies. To-niglvt Aliss Burton will appear in lmekjumping acts, and a .buckjumping competition will he held among local amateur riders for a silver cup presented by Air. J. J. Alartin, of the Royal Hotel.
BAB BABA BUCK J UiAIPEBS
The performance to have been given last night by the Barralja Buckjumpers had to be abandoned soon after its commencement, owing to the lights failing. It has been decided by the proprietary that no further performance will be given until Saturday night, as the horses are in need of a spell.
THE CATHOLIC BAZAAR
.His Majesty’s Theatre was again packed last evening, when the bazaar in aid of the funds of St. Mary’s Church was continued. The sale of work proceeded briskly, good business being done at all the stalls. During the evening a special display of dancing was given under the direction of Miss Putnam. To-night there will be on exhibition a large print of Holman Hunt’s picture, “The Light of the World.”

C. Carton’s greatest comedy, “Mr. Mopkinstm.” which is now creating a perfect furore in the .South. On Thursday evening “The New Clown” will he staged. ’Phis comedy is just onelong frolic of fun.
