HOCKEY.
The match iV Ilau v. Kaa Kalra, set down for decision yesterday afternoon at Victoria Domain, did not eventuate, the Te Rau team failing to put in an appearance. The Kaa fCaba team claim the match by default. The City and Kia Kalla teams are now running level for the championship, and a good game is anticipated when they meet.
LADIES’ GAMES AT NAPIER
Press Association. NAPIER, September 12. ~ The Auckland ladies’ hockey team played a Napier team drawn chiefly from the Maroro and Clive Clubs today and suffered defeat by four goals to nil. The local team had the best of tho play all through, particularly in tho second spell, xhe Wanganui ladies team wero beaten by the Huia. Hockey Club by three goals to one.
