The following is the local team: —AJorrell, Doyle, Scott, Gordan, Somervell, Pilcher, Lwng, Fromm, Thaxter, Bean, Bee-re, Reid, Skeet, Sceat6, Wildish, and Lloyd. The game commences at 3 o’clock sharp.
AUCKLAND TEAAI FOR RANFURLY SHIELD AIATCH.

Gallagher has chosen, the following team to represent Auckland against Wanganui for the Ranfurly Shield on Saturday:—Full-back, AEller ; three-quarters, Alurnay, Gallet, Asher; five-eighths, Alagee; half, Kiernan ; tvings, AlcDonald and Hall ; forwards, Tyler, Herring, Francis, Cunningham, Hayward, and Seeding; emergencies. AlcGuire (Grafton) and Stuckey. It will be seen that onlyeight of the touring team have been chosen.
ALLEGED ROUGH PLAY OF AUCKLANDERS. INQUIRY TO BE HELD. Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 12. The Auckland footballers returned from their southern tour by the Talune to-day. The management committee of the R.U. will meet to-mor-row evening to receive the report of the manager, Mr. Murray, and to make preliminary arrangements for holding an inquiry into the allegations of rough play made against the Auckland forwards in the Otago and Canterbury matches.
