SUGGESTION THAT CREDIT WILL BE INJURED. United Press Association —Copyright Received August 25, 4.47 p.m. LONDON, August 24. In a question asked in the House of Commons Mr. Cox suggested that as the new Australian tariff is likely to impede Australia’s development, and thus impair its credit, it would be expedient to omit Australian stocks from the list o*f trustee securities. Mr. Asquith replied that the Australian Commonwealth Parliament was still considering the tariff. It was impossible to foresee the final shape. He .added that the Lord High Chancellor mas not empowered to exclude from the category of trustee securities any colonial stock which complies with xlie requirements of the Colonial Stock Act of 1900.
