It was a very sensational crime. The victim was a lithographer named Henry Francois. This man had helped one of his murderers, a man named Sacco, to forge bank notes. The two men had a quarrel, which ended in the murder of Francois. According -to some accounts all the men belong to the “Alaffia” Society. It wfas suspected that the victim, wished to divulge secrets 1 .
