LAND SETTLEMENT
Press Association. AUCKLAND, August. 20. At the land ballot last week at AVainiana there were 250 applications for 17 farms, and all were allotted. At' Opotiki there were 1611 applications for 25 rural sections. Something like 100,000 acres have been taken up in Opotiki and AVaimana districts within the past couple of years, and there is still great demand for land there.
