Press Association. NAPIER, August 20. Tli barquentine ICate Tatham, after a run of forty-two days from Sydney to Napier, arrived in the roadstead this afternoon, but owing to rough weather will not be brought into port until to-morrow morning. Captain Munn’s states that the vessel experienced a succession of heavy gales, and as some of the crew were unwell he deemed it best to come round via North Cape. ,Tlie only time the vessel was in danger was when abreast of the Great Barrier, the heavy gale blowing at tlio time driving the vessel rather too near the land. When the vessel arrived there was plenty of provisions on board, but no fresh water, the salt water having got into the tanks.
