Press Association. DARGAVILLE, Yesterday. Late on Saturday an ablo seaman named Nelson Ostred, aged 52, belonging to the hnrquo Helen Denny, walked over the railway wharf and was drowned. WELLINGTON, Yesterday. Christopher Henry Clausen, sawmiller, got jammed between a large log and a stump at the Upper ilutt last Wednesday through a chain breaking during jacking operations. He sustained internal injuries, which ended fatally on Saturday. BLENHEIM, Yesterday. A six year old hoy, tho only cliild of Alex. Hogg, a Fiaxbourne settler, was badly burned about three weeks ago, and died yesterday. DUNEDIN,' last night. Robert W. Farquliar was accidentally killed at Warepa. it seems that ho was playing with a littlo girl named Elliott. The children had a rope attached to tho top of a very heavy hay sledge, which was leaning against a shed. A boy was pulling the rope, and apparently overbalanced the sledge, which fell on him, killing him instantly. INVERCARGILL, last night. A man named James Patterson tried to cross the line as a train was entering Thors bury station to-day. liie oiigiiio caught him as he was mounting tho platform and turned him over. His worst injury was a dislocated shoulder, and a variety of minor bruises were subsequently discovered when he was taken to the Riverton Hospital. Mrs. Thyne, 71 years of age, who resided with Mrs. Henderson at Myross, was found dead in bed this morning. Slio retired in good health and spirits last night. A post-mor-tem was ordered.
