FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
RECHABITES. The half-yearly summoned meeting of Gisborne Tent, 1.0. R., was held hist night, Bro. A. Claydeu, C.R., being in tlie chair.
The election of officers resulted as follows:—Bro. Clayden, P.G.lt.; Bro. L. Colmaiij C. 8.; Bro. J. V. Scott, IXlt.Bro. It. H. Clarke, secretary; Bro. Hart, minute secretary; Bro. M Nasmith, treasurer; Bro. Morgan, cash steward; Bro. Mcltae, hook steward; Bro. Hill, levite; Bro. Haycock, guardian; Bros. Haycock and Scott* auditors; Bro. A. Sawyer, trustee; Bros. Slack and McKenzie, left and right supporters of C.lt. i It was decided to change the night of meeting from Wednesday to Thursday. A committee was unpointed to confer with the Female Tent as to the celebration of the anniversary of the Tent. The miestion as to whether the anniversary should be celebrated by a social or a conversazione was referred to a committee, consisting of the officers,of the Tent. Regardin'" hospital benefits it was decided to withdraw from the United Friendly Societies’ Conference, and a committee was appointed to report at next meeting on a scheme to enable the Tent to have hospital benefits on its own basis,
