CIVIL SERVICE SUPERANNUATION.
Press Association. WELLINGTON, yesterday. The resolution re the Civil Service superannuation handed to the press was not quite correct. The .latter part should read: “One-sixtieth of his annual rate of pay for one year of service, computed on his maximum salary, and that the benefits for widows and children will be more liberal than those provided for ip the Bill of last year.” NELSON, last night. At a full-meeting of civil servants to-night, Mr. H. Eyre Kenny, presiding, the following resolution was adopted : —That this meeting learns with great pleasure the announcement made by the Right Hon. the Premier that it is ' proposed to introduce a Superanuation Bill for the whole of the civil service, and while thanking him for his personal interest in the matter express their earnest hope that- the same be introduced as early as possible, in order to ensure its being passed during tho present- session of Parliament.
