HOCKEY.

The usual weekly meeting of the Poverty Bay Hockey Association was held last night in the Royal Hotel, A letter was read from the Bakers and Carriers asking for the use of toe Victoria Domain on Thursday. It- was decided to accede to their ,reqUOwing to the football match, School Boys v. Working Boys, it was resolved to play on© hockey match, City v. Te Rau, to-morrow, instead of two as usual. Mr. E. H. Pavitt was appointed referee for the match. ■ The referees are to be. instructed that if they order a player off the. field for misconduct and rough play, they will be compelled to report him to the Association to be. dealt- with. One new member, Mr. L. Gideon, was nut through the Association for the Te Rau Club.
