FOOTBALL.
Tho Carriers, when they get iilto harness to-morrow, will make things very lively for their “flowery” friends the Bakers. It is to be hoped that the Bakers will bo able to stond a lot of “ chafF,” as the weilders of tho thong and lash intend to “lash out ” pretty freely to-morrow. The Bakers, on the other hand, have every confidence in their ability to take the cake, and the skipper, when asked what price the Carters, exclaimed in an irate voice, “Oh ! their cake is dough.”. Both teams have been putting in some solid training, and the spectators ought to bo treatd to a very fast game. The losing team is to provide a dinner in the evening at Mr Dustin’s. Following are the teams :—Bakers : Hefferman, Goffe, Wilkinson (2), Dustin, Wootten, Thomas, Casby, Nesbitt, Corbett, Binney, Murphy, Hughes, Soloman, Olliver ; emergencies, Airov, Dnstin. Mr A. P. Hailey will act. as .touch judge. Carriers: Harrison, Poole, Pollock, Hogan, Smith, Marflett, Morrell, J. Sceats, McPherson, Cahill, Burnand, Hird, Craig, Thomas,Johnstone ; emergencies, Carter, Mahony, Lowndes, Tansley.
