A SERIOUS EXPLOSION.

Press Association. AUCKLAND, yesterday. The presence of dynamite in household coal caused an explosion in a kitchen fire at-the residence of Mr. John Evans, at Devonport. Mrs Evans threw a shovelful of coal on the fire. Immediately there was a terrific explosion. The stove .was smashed to pieces, flying in all directions. Mrs Evans was struck on the left arm and leg, and was slightly burned. Subsequent examination discovered a box containing dynamite caps among the coal in the coal shed.
