MARITIME MISHAPS.
Press Association. AUCKLAND, yesterday. The barqueutine Pendle Hill,which arrived from Newcastle on Saturday night, had a hard battle with the heavy gale and high seas. For thirteen days largo bodies of water came aboard, and flooded the decks right to the rail. AUCKLAND, last night. It is reported that the scow Pukap.uka and cutters Eleanor and Teaser, which went ashore at Squadron Bay; AVaiheke, during the,' recent heavy weather, have sustained considerable damage. Reatfirs are to be effected without delaji; and it is hoped that the vessejsgpicil! be seaworthy again in a few wr&ks.
