AUCKLAND, yesterday. The City Council referred to the Finance Committee consideration of tho proposal to establish a depot for the sale of humanised and other milk ■ for the supply of milk to infants. The Council has also instructed the Inspector to exercise constant supervision over the milk shops of the city. GORE, last night. The Minister for Lands received the following to-day: The Hon. Air. McNab, Alihister for Lands: Hearty congratulation on your attitude as regards milk supply. I feel very deeply how needed it is, and last night I brought a motion before the CityCouncil in reference to that Council establishing a depot for the supn l of absolutely pure or clso Jiumanised milk for infants whose mothers are unable from any cause to supply their natural nourishment. Your action will save many 'lives which otherwise would be lost. Every father and mother ought to be grateful for your, action. The courso you are taking is far-seeing and will produce in time to come a further population for onr land. Councillor Dr. Stafford, Auckland.
