COURSING.
A special meeting of the Poverty Bay Coursing Club was held at the RoyaT Hotel last eyening, at 7.30. Dr. Collins’was'elected to tlie clipir. The meeting was convened for the purpose of selecting a suitable site for the pluiiipton, . After discussion it was decided, to accept the Hon. Captain Tucker’s offer of leasing 40 acres, situated at the back of the Park, this ground being considered the most advantageous in the ’ interests of the sport. A meeting of the ground committee comprising Messrs. Kinnimont, Maher.., Newton, Morse, Patterson, Looilib, and the secretary (Mr. Graham Johnstone), will be held next Tuesday night, June 25. The next general meeting of the club will be held on July 2nd, when tho following business will -be dealt with:—Eleotiqh pf" president, 'vicepresident, and'officers “‘financial statement- election of members; report of canvassing committee; report ' <Jf grounds committee’ bii proposal of work to be done, plan of ground, arid cost of making plumpfon; report of rules committee, arid'passjng pf rules submitted; specimen of members’ tickets, and .general business.
