CONVEYANCE TO SCHOOL. Press Association. DUNEDIN, yesterday. The Education Board carried the following resolution in reference to the Department’s circular containing the new regulations touching the conveyance of children from the backblocks schools: “That this Board, while recognising that the regulations for conveyance of children issued on June 4th” are a slight advance upon those previously ill operation, are impelled to point -out- that they still fall far short of meeting requirements. The Board agaiu submit that the only satisfactory method of dealing with the subject will be to place the matter of conveyance unrestrictedly in the hands of the _ Boards, trusting to tlieir 'dealing with, each case upon its merits, and with due regard to economical administration.”
