HOCKEY.
The hockey match between the Gisborne Ladies’ Club and the Te Kooti Club, Hastings, takes place at the Domain to-morrow. On Friday evening, the local ladies are tendering tlieir visitors a complimentary dance and are seeing that they will be well looked after. .
A treble attraction for Thursday should attract the public to the Victoria Domain. A most interesting hockey match between a ladies’ team from Hastings and our local ladies’ team is first on the programme, this starting at 2 ji.ni. On No. 1 ground. On No. 2 ground at tho same time a football match between teams representing the tailors and hairdressers takes place. At tho conclusion of these the championship matches under the auspices of the Hockey Association begin. The games are: On No. 1 ground, West End v. City, Mr. Saddler referee; and on No. 2, Kia Kalia v. Te Rau, Mr. Pavitt referee. These matches are tho finish of the first round, and both will prove of interest to spectators.
