CHARITABLE AID BOARD

A mooting of tho Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held last night. Present: Messrs. Townley (Chairman), Wliinray, Sheridan, Sawyer, Pettie, Mann, Miller, and Dr. Williams. Tho number of inmates of the Old Men’s Home was reported to be 14. With thanks gifts wore acknowledged from the following:—Christian Endeavour Society, cakes; Mr. C. Humphreys and Poverty Bay Club, magazines; Miss Lousley, soup, etc. Mr. T. A. Coleman, secretary of the Hospital Trustees, notified the Trustees’ acceptance of the Council’s offer to sell a site for the isolation hospital, the price being £475. Ho would be pleased to receive tho Board’s cheque in terms of tlieir letter.

Tho Chairman reported that everything was proceeding well at the Old Men’s Home. Messrs. Wliinray and Mann wero appointed the visiting committee for-tlio month.
