Colonel Davies, accompanied by Lioutonaiit-Colonel Baucliop and Lieutenant Cliesney (staff-officer), inspected the East Coast Mounted Rifles’ Camp yesterday lit lialf-past two. There were 46 men on parade.
After inspecting the squadron Colonel Davies examined tlio officers and non-commissioned officers ill squadron drill, mounted and dismounted.
lie meots fho corps to-day on the sandhills at Awapuni for purposes of examination in outpost, attack, and defence. On Sunday morning a mounted church parade will be held, leaving the drill-slied at the usual hour.
