BESSES O’ TH’ BARN BAND.
The band gave their final performance in New Zealand at His Majesty’s Theatre, last night to a packed and woll pleased audience. The. enter tainmeut oponed with AVaguer’s march from “Tannhauser,” followed with the overture to' “Crown Diamonds” (Auber). For an encore the “Turkish Patrol” was given. The next item was “Besses o’ th’ Barn” (Clement), a cornet solo by Mr. T. G. Moore. Iji response to on urgent recall, the “Song of Araby” was submitted. The last item of tire first half of the programme was a selection from Tannhauser. After the interval the valse 1 “Alicia” (Raymond) and a selection from Gounod’s “Faust” were played, and for an encore “Le Marseillaise”, was rendered. The old favorite “Ora Pro Nobis” and “Thou’rt Passing Henco My Brother,” as euphonium solos, F. Barry, followed. The Fantasia “Auld Ireland” (Haro) and “Auld Lang Syne” concluded the evening’s ment. The Band leave this morning for Sydney, per the Zealandia.
