Press Association DARGAVILLE, yesterday. A boy, aged three years, the son of Mrs. Adams, the postmistress at Raupo, was found drowned in a water race. WELLINGTON, yesterday. A boy named Kerrigan, three years of age, was drowned in the Waikanae river. DUNEDIN, yesterday. William Woods, a rabbiter, near Cromwell, took poison by mistake for medicine, and succumbed. INVERCARGILL, last night, At the close of the Wallacetown stock sale on Tuesday a horse broke loose and collided with Mr. Angus Wallace, breaking his leg above the ankle. CHRISTCHURCH, last night. A shunter named- James Paton was crushed between the buffers of two horse-boxes at the Christchurch i railway station this afternoon and somewhat seriously injured,
A middle-aged man named Ilonr.v Brown whilo blasting rock on the hills in tlio vicinity of Little River on Tuesday sustained painful injuries. Ho had somo doubt as to whether a fuse had properly ignited and ventured out of his shelter to see. Tile explosion occurred when Brown was within a few foot of the blast, and its forco hurled him for a considerable distanco down the hill. Ilis face and oyos were injured and after regaining consciousness bo had to crawl fully half a mile boforo ho could obtain assistance. Ho was brought to the Christchurch hospital to-day.
