AUCKLAND, last night. Tho Avondale Jockey Club concluded its autumn meeting to-day in ideal weather in the presence of a large attendance. The sum of £8164 was put through the machine as against £4131 on the concluding day last year, making £16,833 for the meeting compared with £7417 in 1906, an increase of £9416. Results:Maiden Hurdles, of GO sovs. I mile and three quarters—Lnndlook 1, Hardship 2, Luminous 3. Scratched — Hovwood and Swagsman. Won easily. Time, 3.23 4-5. Div, £2 ss. Flying Handicap, of 70 sovs, four furlongs—Celerity I,Mighty Atom 2, Waitati 3. Scratched —Engraver. Won bv a neck., Time, 55 1-5. Divs, £4 os and £2 19s.
Pony Handicap, of 40 sovs, live furlongs—AVaihou 1. Oetaroon 2, Merriman 3. Scratched —Mighty Atom. Won bv two lengths. Time, 1.4. Divs, £3 5s and £1 13s. Autumn Handicap, of 130 sovs, one mile —Carl Rosa 1, Te Arolui 2, Millie 3. Scratched—Soultmaid. Won by half a length. Time, 1.43 4-5. Divs., £2 9s and £5 10s.
Nursery Handicap, of CO sovs, six furlongs—Haldane 1, Quadroon 2, Port Light 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Divs. on Haldane and Port Light who were bracketed on the machine, £2 14s, and on Quadroon £1 10s. Steeplechase Handicap, of 70 sovs. about 3 miles —Loch Fyne 1, Kanaka 2, Nor’ West 3. All started. Only the placed horses finished. Won by 00 yards. Time, 0.15. Divs, £1 12s and £3 4s. Mount Roskill Handicap, of 50 sovs, six furlongs—lnglis 1. Castadrift 2, Ruaparaha 3. All started Won by a length. Time, 1.17 3-5. Divs. £5 16s and £1 17s; Waitakerei Handicap, of 80 sovs.
