Fross Association. TItENTHAM, Saturday. The Nolson and Canterbury matches woro completed this afternoon. Half a gale was blowing, and driving rain fell. Consequently the scoring was slow, and some of the best marksmen in tho colony failed at tho 1000 yards to socuro double figures. Cameron, who hud hitherto hold the load in tho aggregate, broke down at this range, getting only 12, which put him a good way down tho list. His position was taken by W. Cox, an ox-Bisloy representative, with 339, followed by Ayson, Murihikn, 338, and Perrin, Linton, 337. A. C. Cromp wins the Union Coy’s Cup, with the highest aggregate in tho Auckland, Wellington, and Nelson matches. Two service matches were fired in ..heavy rain and wind. "The scores arc not available. Heavy rain fell at Trentham last night, rendering camp life very uficomfortablo. To-day it has been showery. The last match in tho championship series before the final 50 highest aggregate scorers compete for the belt will he first tomorrow. Captain Collins expects to get the mooting through by Wednesday if the weather is fine. The bolt will be fired for on Wednesday.
