THE EXHIBITION.

Tho attendance at the Exhibition on Saturday totalled 19,476, the Besses o’ the Barn Band and the daylight fireworks being the great attraction. The fireworks display was very novel and interesting, and gave much delight to the huge crowds of children collected. The following are the values of some of the principal exhibits with the countries of origin. Tho figures are from the returns compiled by the Customs Department :

Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, last night. The Exhibition attendance up to last night totalled 1,383,833. Over 9000 people attended the sacred concert given by the Besses o’ th’ Barn Band on the Exhibition sports ground this afternoon, by way of memorial to t-lip late R- J- Seddon. The takings at the gates amounted to £446 9s 6d, which will be increased to over £SOO from the sale of programmes and reserved seats. This amount will be handed over by the Band to Mrs. Seddon, to be applied by her to whichever of the Seddom Memorial Funds she may decide on. The Hon. Hall Jones states that the Exhibition will definitely close on April 15th,
