AQUATICS.
On account of Johnston and Buscke rowing a dead heat on Friday evening, the semi-final for the Gisborne Rowing Chib’s Cederwall fours was again fought out between the two crews on Saturday evening, and. resulted in a win for Buscke after a good race. Both crews got away well together, but Buscke soon drew away, and at tlie bridge had a comfortable length to the good. From the bridge Johnston put up a great race, but failed to regain liis position, Buscke passing tlie post half a length ahead. To-night the final will lie rowed, when H. Kershaw meets G. Buscke, and a good race is anticipated. Kershaw, having won tlie toss, will row oil tlie town side ot the river. Tlie following crews will represent the Gisborne Rowing Club at the annual fixture with the Poverty Bay Club: —Seniors: P. Bayly (str), H. Kershaw (3), C. Hamilton (2), F. Gumming (bow). Junior: D. E. Dustin (str), A. E. Smith (3), N. Pufiett (2), G. Buscke (bow). Ten stone: B. Johnston (str), G. Butler (3), B. Bright (2), H. Bennett (bow).
