They explained that Orangia would receive substantially the same constitution as the Transvaal, and expressed a hope that the Bloemfonw tein Parliament would be at work by the autumn. Mr Churchill, declared he be- , lieved the Boers had abandoned their am* bition to create an independent Dutoh R-publio in South Afrioa; they had only tried to beoome another Commonwealth. After some criticisms, the House of Commons approved of tho-.printing of the constitution.
