District High School.
The Gisborne school closed yesterday for the holidays, the prizes being awarded as per list appended. Since the introduction of medals the number of pupils who have made the full attendance has increased from 2S in 1904 to 103 this year, The first-class attendance .prizes (silver medals) were this year awarded on two counts, from October 11, 1905, to December 20,1905 (full attendance), and from February 5, 1906, to the closing of school yesterday. Second-class certificates were awarded to those pupils who ' have not missed more than five half-days, Next year the prizes will be awarded on the attendance from the opening to the closing of the school, 1907, The following is the list:— High School.—Full attendance: May Moore, Benjamin Hawkins.
