WAIKATO SHOW.

PRESS ASSOCIATION

Hamilton, last night. Tho Waikato A and P. Show commenced yesterday in favorable weather. Tho entries total 9'20, being about one I hundred in excess of last year. In pedigree Shorthorns Well had champion bull, and I. C. Lichiield (Hamilton) champion cow. The dairy cattle were a fairly strong lot, particularly tho younger stock. The Jersey and fat cattle were fit for any Show. Sheep in all classes were good. 1 In Lincolns 0. T. Hardball, Waiuku, took championship for best ram, also for ewe. English were represented by a quality quite equal to other parts of the colonyWilliam Taylor, of Tc Awamutu, as usual was a large and successful exhibitor, his Master Ruddington 11, being awarded championship. W. J. Pain, Cambridge, and Kuakura State Farm, were noteworthy exhibitors. Grade Shorthorns formed a i strong class, but there was some exception [ to the judging. Pedigree Herefords were [ few, but of good quality. Angus were fairly well represented. _ J. r Q_, Allen.
