During the day the 4th round of the Now Zaaland championship was played, the results being as follows t _ J, 0. Bidwell (Wairarapa) beat H. Kawhi (Napier), 1 up. W. T. D. Harman (Ohristohuroh) beat A. F. Roberts iDunedin), 2 up 1 to play. 8, H. Gollan (Napier) beat E. S. Pearce (Wellington), 7 up and 5 to play. Kuropo Tareba (Napier) beat 0. Turnbull (Dunedin), 4 up and 3 to play. The semi final will be played on Thursday. Play for the Canterbury golf ohampion* ship concluded to-day. 8. H. Gollan won the championship with a gross aggregate soore of 160. H. Kawhi, A. F. Roberts, and J. Harold tied for runner-up with 164 eaob, and they will play off on Friday.
