PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Reoeived 5.33 p.m., Sept. 12. Sydney, Sept. 12. Early this morning a oyolone struok Bourke from the south-west, lasting a minute, acoompanied by lightning, and a waterspout which lasted five minutes.

A large amount of damage was done, The Salvation Army Barracks, a large building, was levelled, while the Oale* donian Hotel, a brick structure, was wrecked, the inmates having a narrow esoape.

Several other bnildings were badly damaged.
