NELSON AND SONS GET -C23.9C9 DAMAGES.

An action brought by Jumps Nelson and Sons against, tbo Nelson Lino to ropovoi damage for broach of contract in connection with a cargo of frozen meal on board tlu' s.s. Highland Ghicl has concluded. The evidence was to the effectthat the temperature in tin; refrigerating chambers of the vessel was not kept down to 25 degrees, and thus the cargo of the Kiver Plate meat was seriously damaged. The jurv awarded Nelson and Sons £2.>.909. (Questions of law that, arose haling been dealt with. Mr Justice Bray, of the King’s Bench Division of the High Court, gave judgment for tbo whole amount assessed by the jury. A stay ot execution was granted in view of appeal. Befell. limits' denied liability for insurable goods and that the claim was untenable in any event beyond the net invoice price Both points were overruled.
