(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night.
At the inquest on the body found in the Molyueux river, near Clyde, a verdict was returned, “ Pound drowned, there not being sufficient evidence of identification.” The evidence went to show that the bootß 1 on the body were similar to those sold.to AodersoD, a dredge hand drowned about four months ego, and a woman who had washed for Anderson thooght tbo socks were those worn by him, while a pieeo of underpants found ware of the same texture, but sho could not awoar that the darning on the socks was her work. At the icqueet bold at Cromwell four months ago on a body found in the river, that body was identified by many as that “of Anderson, and tho remains were buried as those of Anderson. A man named Steel was mißsiDg shortly after Ander son’s death, and no traoe has beoa found of him, uolobs the body buried as Anderson’s was his.
