The annual show of the Wellington Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Society, which opened to day, is tho largest ex- 1 hibition of the kind yet held in Wellington, there being 1,230 entries, in poultry the breed showing the greatest improvement is the Wyandotte,' the Orpington class following them closely. The winning silverlacccl pullet in Wyandottes, exhibited by It. 0. King, of Sterling, Otago, is said to Jjg 'h, ■ remarkably fine bird. Pour first prizes for’"Andalusians went to' G.‘lt. Hutchinson, of Auckland. Four North Island championships were allotted to tho Show Three of them have been awarded, as follows! Brahmas, A. Simson • Dragon Pigeons, D. Craig; Working Homers;- H. Bell. • The Championship tea; -vktrictv of bahtams 1 will be awarded t - .Sorrow. Ill' carries the Stbrtt ' trophy - Was won by B. W. Thompson, of Ancleffimd, and thp ten gumek prize -by C. Arthur, of Wellington,
