Miller (husband’s application for restitution of conjugal rights) was adjourned to Wellington for production of the marriage certificate, when an order will be made.

Napier, lasi night. In the Supreme Court Timothy Cosgrove was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment for carnal knowledge. Samuel Swayne pleaded guilty to presenting a loaded firearm, and was remanded for sentence.

Aehburcon, last night. At the Magistrate’s Court Mr Wray, S.M., fined two men 40s each for being on the premises when the police made a sly grog raid. P. March, licensee of the Oherteey hotel, was finod £5 and costs for Sunday trading, the license not to be endorsed, the Magistrate considering defendant had been persuaded against his better judgment. A charge of exposing liquor for sale was dismissed.

Later.—ln the Divoroe Court Mr Justioe Edwards granted deorees nisi in De Silva v. De Silva (Palmerston North), cruelty and adultery, wife’s petition George v. George, wife’s petition, desertion ; Randell v. Randell, husband’s petition, refusal to obey conjugal rights restitution order ; and Espiner v. Espinor, husband’s petition, desertion, returnable in all eases in three months,
