Brisbane, June 22,
Mr Sutton, tho New South Wales Com* meroial Agent in tbe East, has arrived from China He was impressed with the growing oommeroUl activity in the East, There are prospects of increasing trade with Australia, but competition is keen. It will be the Australian’s own fault if by shutting their eyes to the peculiarities and failing to cater for the requirements of tbe Eastern people their trade gradually disappears from tbe commercial horizon of tbe Orient. It is a mistaken idea to thick that auytbing will do for tbe East.
