NICE SPECIMEN OF A HUSBAND. (For Press Association,) Auckland, last night. At the Arbitration Court yesterday a compensation claim came on for hearing. Michael Carter, father ul tile deceased,
said he was willing to take his wife hack and support her. Witness had contributed to his wife's support, but hail knocked off as his wife would not come and live with him. Witness was not dependent on his son, and was quite able to earn enough wages to support himself, and was able to save money.
His Honor : What made you think you had a claim'?
Witness : I was told I could put in * claim, and not the missus. His Honor : Do you think you have a claim ? Witness : I don’t know. No further evidence was called, and His Honor reserved judgment.
