At the above club's green yesterday afiernoon, a match in the first round of she Championship Sing'o3 was played, when an interesting game took place, the result beiug— Martin 16 Mackrell 14
Martin secured the lead, and on the sth head was 7 to 2. The 10th head saw Martin with 10 against 5, and the 15th head 12 to 10. Maekrell, however, got the advantage on the 17th head, but Martin was not to bo denied, and wrested victory from his opponent by two point'.
