Sydney, April 10. Tho Premiers re-affirmed the resolutions oarried at last year’a Conference, providing for the continuance of the Braddon clause until an acceptable alternative i*b evolved. In re affirming the resolutions they desired it to be clearly understood that they were largely based on the proposals then made by Sic Geo. Turner, which included taking over the State dents as the oorollary of an I extension c'ause. Mr Deekiu was present at the afternoon 1 session, and expressed gratitude at the form the States bad now submitted their case in reference to (he Braddon clause. The Federal Governm<nt had now a | concise statement from the standpoint of ihe States on very complex questions. There should be no difficulty in correctly assessing the fiuauoial views and requirements of the Stateß. It was resolved that the Conference generally wss favorable to the proposals for the promotion of immigration, but that futtber details should be obtained from Mr Deakin. It was also resolved that weather shipping reports for the information of the public Bhouid be furnished free of charge in the various States, and that the Common wealth assume control of the quarantine service.
