Sydney, April 9, Mr Garruthers ooDferred with Mr Deakin in reference to the Commonwealth taking over Norfolk Island, and arrived at an airangement to take it over, whioh the Premiers’ Conference subsequently confirmed. It will be taken over on the same footing as New Guinea, and not ba subject to a Commonwealth tariff.
