keeping pace with the general increase of trade in the colony ; the tariff sb.ould be amended in various directions by faking off all duties on raw mvteria's used by our I manufacturers not lik ly to ho produced jn this colony, and by increasing the duty in oertatn directions to meet dumping 0 f i surplus manufactures from other countries ; that the attention of Government sbep d be drawn to tho ncoessity of oom pulsnry branding nf all New Zealand made
goods as such.
