REPRESENTATIONS OF THE EAST COAST.

{To the Editor .Gisborne Times.

Sir,—l should bo sorry if the fact that I am unablo this week to see my friends Bbould in any way prejudioe the chance of tho district being well represented at the exhibition. Might I ask those gentlemen who kindly consented to exhibit, in answer to the visit paid to them by Mr Whinray and myself, to communicate with Mr Whinray or Mr Maude, secretary, and kindly Btate how much spacs their exhibits will require. There is no reason why 500 ft should not be secured for the I d ; striot by tel-graph. The only difficulty is making sure beforehand that tbe space secured would be paid for. That might be got over by iho Borough Couucil taking the responsibility in tho meantime, and the exhibitors making up the amount pro rata in due course. Whatever is dono the members of tbe oommittee are only too anxious to assist tho exhibitors, and it I only needs united efforts now to ensure tho distriot being well represented, as I venture to think it ought to be.—l am etc., O. A. DisLAUTOUR.
