SCHOONER AOTEA.
STILL ASHORE AT WAIPIRO,
Several attempts wore made yosterday to low the schooner Aotea off the boach at Waipire, but without Bucorss, and attention was then turnod to discharging of cargo, which was continued vigorously during tho afternoon. No further effort will bo made until Captain Skinner, of the Kaoo, who is tho chief owner, has been oommunicated with, It is expected that the Ka3o will reach To Araroa to day. At low tide tho Aotf a was high and dry, and drays receiving oargo wore able to get alongside.
The Union Company’s steamer Haupiri left Waipiro yesterday, and after working coastal ports is expected to teaoh Gisborne about noon to-day,
