LAND BOARD.

Napier, last night. At the meeting of the Land Board today a considerable amount of business of interest to the Gisborne district was tranßio'od. It was decided to pay for improvements done by A. MoPhail, late lessee of sections 22 and 23, block 7, Waimata. It waa agreed to approve of the issue ol a title to F. W. Williams, oaeh seleotor of eeotion 1, block 4, threo of block 7, one of block 10, and four of block 11, Hikurangi Survey District, he having completed the equirod improvements. J. L. Spence applied to have forest I reserve, seotion 1, block 10, Hangaroa, oSered for selection. Referred to the ranger for a report, It was decided to recommend for the Minister's approval Howell and Harrison's ] application for transfer to A. Neale, ol small grazing ran No. 9, Waikaremoaua, and run 81, Tuahu districts. Owing to the Easier holidays, next month’s meeting will be held on the 20,h at Napier, and 21st at Gieborne, Several settlers were granted an extension of time in which to pay their rent, and a few email sections were forfeited on account of rent not being paid. The expenditure of thirds and fourths by tho Wa’msta Road Board, £sl 7s Bd, was approved. Thomas Bollywood applied for a misc.’llanecus lease over uoleased sections in Hangaroa village. Granted. A. R. Mclotyre applied for sections 51 to 53, and W. J. Molotyre for Bectioos 40 to 42, Tiniroto village, and that the Board approve of the lease of sections 61 and 40 respectively, and recommend applications for tho other scotions to the Minister under seotion 43 of the Land Aot Amend* meet Aot, 1895, Agreed to,
