| (Per Press Association.) Wellington, last night. I The Wellington-Hawke’s Bay match commenced this morning in oold, unpleasant weather. The home team went in to lipt, and at the oloso cf the day’s play had soored 409 for the loss of eight wickets. Towards this total Redgrave contributed 165 by vigorous hitting. He pasted the bowlers indiscriminately, and kept the field busily employed. His sooie iboluded four hits for six and 22 fonts. Weyboume soored 40, Laws 47, and Mahony 46 (act oui) Tho bowling and fielding of the visitors were loose, and their returns wild.
