At the Supremo Court the Grand Jury found true bills in all oases. William Tucker, charged with an unnatural offence, was found guilty and sentence deferred. Neil MoPbereon,.charged with stealing a mare, was found not guilty and discharged. Accused and prosecutor had .been rabbiting together and the mare waa first bought by acouaed, prosecutor later acquiring an interest. It was alleged for the defenoe that accused had paid some of the prosecutor’s debts, and he concluded the mare was left to him to dispose of 03 recompense. Oamaru, last night. The Premier arrived by the Tutanekai this afternoon, and went on to Ngapara, where a banquet was given to the Hon. T. Y. Duncan, Minister for Lands. Previous to the banquet the Premier delivered a speech on the lines of those given at other places. He mentioned that the correspondence between himself and Mr Moore over the extra shilling a day to co-operative workmen before the election was for camping out, and as soon as that was past it was withdrawn. There could be nothing more in'it than that. With reference to the purchase of other estates,. he made no statement, beyond that in a few days he hoped to bo able to say that another .estate dose to Ngapara had been, purchased. Mr Seddoh had a capital reception. The banquet was held later.
