Wool.—Bradford market is active and all tops aro firm at unchanged prices. Butter.—Steady, unchanged. Danish is hardening. The choicest colonial is all cleared. Slow trade for secon« daries owing to the competition of American. The condition of some Australian brands is unsatisfactory and is attributed to the heat at the time of manufacture.

The Department of Industries and (Jommerce has reoeived the following cablegram from the High Oommissiono-, dated London, 17. h inst: Tbo mutton matket is dull. The avoroge pric) to-day for Canterbury mutton is 4£l per lb, for other and Noith Island mutton per lb. Stacks on hand are light. For River Plate mutton tho average price is and Australian Bf r d per lb. The lamb market it steadier. Tho price of New Zealand limb to-day is sg-1 per lb. Australian limb is 4d per lb, of whioh there is a large supply. There ha 3 been co alteration in the beef market since last report. The butter market is stronger, there being a better dfiinnd. I consider that prioes are likely to improve. The price of choicest New Zealand butter to-day is 107 a per owt. Danish 115 s. The oheoso market is firm, there being a better demand!’ New Zealand cheese is quoted at 603 per owt. The cocksfoot seed maiket is firm at last quotation. Tho wool maiket is firm, and a good demand continues.
