No Unionist has been cl.cled in Wales. One thousand feina’o operatives in Blaokburn dislr'ct have withdiawn from the Tiade Union as a protest against tho employment of funds for political purposes. Three thousand operatives at Burnley attended a meeting end recommended the Weavers’ Association to withdraw from the Labor Representation Committee. After the poll closed at Galway North Higgins, the Nationalist candidate, died of heart failure.
Following is a Unionist gain : Whitby, G. Beckett, Unionist. Former member, Buxton, Liberal, 400 majority. Following are Liberal gains : Chesterton, E. G. Montagu, Liberal. Former member, Greene, Conservative, 200 majority. Stafford Noithwest, Alfred Billson. Former member, Heath, Conservative, 1300 majority. Hamsiead, C. H. Corbett, Liberal. Former member, Fletcher, Conservative.
Hitchin, Bertram, Liberal. Former member, Hudson, Conservative, unopposed. Richmond, Aclaud, Liboral, Former member, Hutfos, Conservative, majority 1400.
Dumbarton, White, Liberal. Former member, Wylie, majority 700. Worcester North. Wilson, Liberal. Was re-eleolel as a Liberal-Unionist.
Newa-k, Starkey, Liberal. Former membe', Welby, Conservative, unopposed. Northampton Mid, Mansfield, Liberal. Former member, SpeDcer, Liberal. St. Ives, Cory, Liberal. Former member, Cory, Liberal. Ashburton, Eve. Fife East, Asquith. Haddington, Haldane. The Liberal party gains Ccckermouth, Wilfred Lawson. Letk, Robert Pearoe. Somerset, Eastern, Thompson. STATE OF PARTIES. Liberals 352 Labor 50 Nationalists 83 Uninniats 146 Mr Russell, of Tyrone East, declared himself a Liberal. He was, he said, done with the mists of dead Toryism and worse landlordism.
