At a meeting of the Hawke's Bay Employees’ Association held to day, a resolution was passed that the association was in favor of the propoted conference of employers and employees, and suggesting that in order to overcome ihe difficulties mentioned by the Advisory Board of the Employers’ Federation, a small preliminary conference might be held to discuss these points. Mr Bruce, Mayor of Adelaide, and Mr Tom Seddon (son of the Premier) arrived in town last night, haviDg come overland from Hokitika by way of Haaßt Pass. Mrs Bruoe accompanied them part of the way.
